Polystorm Xtra modular geocellular structures can be used for the control and management of surface water. Polystorm Xtra is unique in that it has been designed to withstand vertical loads of up to 80 tonnes meaning it makes the perfect solution for attenuation or soakaway applications in heavy trafficked areas. Polystorm Xtra has a height of just 0.21cm which means it can also be used in installations which require low burial depths. Polystorm Xtra modular cells are assembled together to form a structure of any shape of size to hold water either from roofs, gutters or surface drains.
Key Benefits
Load CapacityMaximum 80 tonnes per square metre load bearing capacity for use in deeper burial depths and heavily trafficked installations
94% void ratioProviding greater water storage capacity and reduced excavation and disposal costs.
Modular unitsAllow flexibility of shape – ideal for shallow excavation systems, narrow strips or use in restricted areas.
Lightweight yet robustExcellent health and safety and installation benefits.
Cost effectiveEspecially when used as a hybrid, value engineered system.
BBA Approval Pending The modular structure can then be wrapped in an impermeable membrane (attenuation) or permeable membrane (infiltration) to control the surface water entering the tank. The Polystorm Xtra units are lightweight and easy to handle and have unique rounded corners to prevent punctures to the membrane during the installation process. With the use of a silt trap and Stormcheck Flow Control device, sediments can be removed before entering the tanks and then discharged at a set rate.
Polystorm Xtra can also be used in conjunction with Polystorm and Polystorm Lite to form a cost effective value engineered hybrid solution.
